The Edge Hair Studio opened to the public in 2007 by business partners and long-time friends Joseph Schillaci and Rocco Anthony Morra. They have since been affiliated with L'Oréal products.

Joseph was born and raised in what is now known as the G.T.A., Ontario. His passion for hair design began in 1991 and trained at Vidal Sassoon in Toronto’s Yorkville area. He has since thrived creating his clientele's unique hair experience in Markham.

Rocco was also born and raised in the G.T.A. His own father was a barber where Rocco worked as a young boy. During his teens, he realized he was destined to be a part of the hair industry. After graduating his hair courses, Rocco built himself a clientele at prestigious salons all over the G.T.A. that he currently maintains.
